Show HN: An alternative to Splitwise, more minimalist, no ads, no account (spliit.app)

Hi there!

I made Spliit because I was sick of Splitwise, of all the ads on the app and all the features I never use that just add noise to my user experience.

Spliit is a web app that offers you to create groups, share them with other participants, add expenses, and see how to reimburse each other in an optimal way.

You don’t need an account to use it, and it is free to use. I just added a tiny premium feature; to be honest it is more a way to support the app and its hosting cost :)

I hope you like it!

I like the simplicity, thanks!

I created a test group with 3 users and 3 expenses with different payers and payees. After the first reimbursement, the remaining 2 balances were not equal: -0.70 vs. 0.69. After the second, the final balances are: -0.01 0.00 0.00

Some nice to haves: - When creating expenses, a select all functionality/default all for "paid for" - Group status on the /groups page

Thanks for your suggestions!

Yes I noticed some rounding issues, I’ll fix that ASAP :)

Nice solution you built there!

Another very easy to use alternative is Kittysplit (https://www.kittysplit.com). It's also no account, some ads, freemium model, web-only (mobile optimized) and translated in 8 languages. With advanced features like uneven split and currency conversion on a per expense basis. Disclaimer: I'm a co-creator of Kittysplit.

https://splid.app/ is a great no-account alternative

Splid is great!

Nice! I got inspired by Splitwise and made BillBurst too. https://billburst.vercel.app/

Looks very nice. Are you planning on releasing native mobile app versions?

Glad you like it!

Not in the short term, but maybe in the coming months :)

I personally use ihatemoney.org together with the moneybuster app and am quite happy with it. Especially thanks to it's simple to use API and UI

I tried entering some large numbers and I got a 500 error. I entered 600000 as a test amount.
