Cats are people too, therefore they need to tolerate others, just like the rest of us.

Unfortunately cats are not people. They are cats. Projecting human level expectations onto them is a recipe for friction.

That also means we have to respect their wishes and not touch them without their consent.

Maybe I'll consider that after they start paying rent and taxes
