Yes, we should probably keep the discussion in one place, so I've downweighted the OP now. Sorry ot!

Edit: I’m not sure if I’m actually using Meta AI? I’m using Facebook messenger and hit the Meta AI logo and had a conversation with some sort of LLM. Maybe it’s an older version?

I just tried this on Facebook messenger. I asked it to generate a picture of a dog and ferret wearing cowboy clothes having a duel at high noon. It then said “Here you go. You can tell me to animate the image to make it move.” So I said “can you animate the image”? To which it replied

“I see you're interested in taking the image to the next level! Animating the image would require some additional tools and processing power. But I can describe the animation for you!

Here's a description of the animation:

The scene opens on a dusty, old-timey western street, with the dog and ferret facing off in the middle. The sun is high overhead, casting a warm, golden light over the scene. The anthropomorphic animal onlookers - a rabbit bartender, a cat poker player, and a horse sheriff - watch with bated breath from the saloon's porch.

As the clock strikes high noon, the dog and ferret slowly draw their guns. The camera zooms in on the tense standoff, the only sound the soft rustling of the wind and the creaking of the saloon's wooden sign.

Suddenly, the dog and ferret fire their guns simultaneously, and the camera freezes for a moment, capturing the intensity of the duel. Then, the scene fades to black, leaving the viewer wondering who emerged victorious.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can help you with!”

So apparently it imagines it has capabilities that it doesn’t actually have? I mean, you can’t beat free but it’s weird to have it ask me if I want to do something it can’t actually do?

"Meta AI", an AI assistant with a website at http://meta.ai/ , as opposed to "Meta AI", an artificial intelligence laboratory owned by Meta with a website at https://ai.meta.com/

Rolling out on Whatsapp on US makes little sense, given that the Whatsapp user base is outside US.

Is there a git repo?
