Stop Trying to Be Perfect, That's What the Machines Are For (teji.io)

As someone who spent a lifetime building and working with machines I almost fell off my seat laughing at the title and the madness that lies behind that idea.

Machines are far, far, far from "perfect" and always will be.

Then I read the excellent little essay, which nicely sums up my humanist approach to life. "In a world where anyone can be anyone, choose to be you." is a great tagline.

But I don't think the authors struggle for authenticity, makes good use of the word "perfection". There is none. Yet most of us are looking for a flawed, fake version of what we're told perfection is - and that technology can bring it to us - and that's what we need to reject.

I changed the title to just 'Stop Trying To Be Perfect' as you're right about it initially being slightly misleading. But hey that's what it's about iterating until we get better and better. Thank you again for input. If you'd like I'd love for you to sign up to my weekly newsletter :) I think you might enjoy it

Thank you for the input :) appreciate your take. I 100% agree not even computers or code is perfect hence the continual iteration of systems and machines year after year.

Thank you for a good connection.
